Rate of exchange

All sea freight rates from Europe to West Africa given by shipping lines are calculated in EURO. Therefore our own offers to you are also in EURO.

The Rate of Exchange (ROE) depends on where the forwarder’s office is located and registered, for example in Sweden. After shipment, we will receive the freight invoice from the shipping line in SEK – Swedish Kronor.

The shipping line calculates & generates a ROE (rate of exchange) at time your container, and all other containers for the same vessel are loaded on board the vessel in Sweden.

The shipping rate is not equal to the bank rate as each shipping line calculates their own rate of exchange to cover their own costs and expenses over the length of time shipment will take.

We use the same shipping rate/ROE for our own invoices, so everyone pays the same.

This is part of the international trading rules and is done in all countries in the world, where you have different currencies involved. If the exchange rate goes up, it leads to a higher invoice amount. If the exchange rates go down, it leads to a lower invoice amount.
